LOLA UPDATE

Ms Lola got her stitches out just a few days ago and is doing wonderful. She does not even miss her eye and gets along very well without it. She has been playing with the ball and likes for you to throw it for her to go chase. She likes going on walks to check out the scenery but she is always on guard to chase whatever she thinks she might see that is worthy of chasing, however she is a good listener and will listen to you if you tell her no. She loves going for car rides but only to hang her head out the window and she does not care if it is freezing cold while the rain pelts her in the face...she loves it! Lola is a very good girl and deserves a forever home that will give her what she needs and will allow her to be a fur kid.

LOLA HAS HER MUCH NEEDED SURGERIES

Poor Lola. This girl is one tough nut to crack. She had her surgeries on Dec 13th with some complications. Lola's left eye has been so neglected that it was no longer useful to her and it needed to be removed and was causingher a great deal of pain.

The eye surgery is a complex surgery because there are a lot of blood vessels in the eye and the eye socket, she lost some blood but it is pretty common for this type of surgery and she pulled through like a champ. When the Dr's opened Lola for her spay they were amazed to see the size of her uterus, it was the size of a softball and covered in cyst's and they knew they had to work fast as this complicated the spay and Lola lost a lot of blood plus she had been under the max time of 3 hrs and 45 min. While Lola pulled through both of her surgeries she needed to be monitored through the night and was transported to the ER vet clinic where she was watched all night long. Lola was a walking time bomb because her uterus could have ruptured at any given moment costing her her life as she would have just bled out.

Having that size of utereus was also extremely painful for poor Lola. I picked up Lola this morning and she was so much better, I brought her home where she is currently resting comfortably. I can tell you that Lola does not miss her eye and is adjusting just fine to only having one eye. I dont even think Lola knows she has been spayed because she already feels so much better and was trying to chase a ball around and just wanted to play (was the pain killers talking) Due to time restraints the Dr's were unable to pull a few of her rotten teeth so when she is feeling better and has recovered she will still need to have that done and I will also be getting her teeth cleaned for her as she deserves to have pretty chompers. I can not imagine the pain that this poor girl has endured and know that she is well on her way to a happy, healthy and pain free life.

Please stay tuned for more updates on Lola and her journey back to health.
Bullie Foster Mum
Poor Lola was found along side a very rural road laying lifeless and had been left to die after just weening a littler of puppies. The guy that found her picked her up and brought her home and took care of her for about 4 months before giving her to a co-worker who took her and gave her a place to call home, but it did not work out and now we have Lola in our care.

Lola is estimated to be approx 3-4 yrs old, while her weight and coat are good she has some major medical issues. She needs to be spayed, she has a lot of rotten teeth that will need to be pulled, and poor Ms. Lola needs to have her left eye REMOVED due to long term neglect that has caused so much scaring to the eye that it is no longer functional at all.

Lola is a very sweet girl!! She loves people and kids, but will need to be an only dog in the household, she chases cats and cars that have their lights on or anything else that has a light in or on it for that matter, she will destroy a flashlight in seconds even if it is not on, I am going to say she was teased with a laser at some point or some other kind of light. She knows a few commands and is still pretty frisky.

We are asking for donations to pay for her medical bills which will be extensive. Any amount will help.

Once she is ready to be placed she will not be shipped anywhere, please don't ask. Please have a current application on file before you contact us. Contact Kodie for additional information.
